Sacrificing cultists when they’re a high level is easily the fastest way to grow in power and unlock stronger weapons and curses. Here are the best choices for the Afterlife Doctrine:ġA: Choosing Belief in Sacrifice allows you to sacrifice followers without annoying the rest of your cultists. Gain 2 Faith when followers grieve at Graves. The corpses of the dead become poop, which can be used as fertilizer.ĤB: Grieve the Fallen – Unlocks the Graves building. But they lose 20 Faith if an elder dies of natural causes.ĤA: Return to the Earth – Unlocks the Natural Burial building. Most Rituals use Bones, which can be obtained in Old Faith dungeons by cutting down the skeletons you see on the ground, or when you kill a big boss or clear a room. Other than that, most of them are unlocked by unlocking new doctrines as you progress. Rituals can be found in the main story quests, for example by talking to Leshy in Anur, where he will ask for Mencicide Mushrooms in exchange for a Brainwashing Ritual. While some are more useful than others, each Ritual requires a certain amount of resources to perform and has either positive or negative effects. They are unlocked by researching and creating new doctrines. Rituals are an important part of the game loop in Cult of the Lamb.
